Presentation
The DocTranslate translation tool translates Microsoft Word and Powerpoint (versions 2003,2007&2010) documents. It allows to quickly translate your documents without losing the layout. This translation tool uses 2 translation engines:
- It uses the very good Google translation service or Microsoft (Beta) translation service (*). As automatic translations can’t be perfects, a rough Google (or other tool) translation SHOULD be enhanced by human translation.
- It also uses a “memory translation” engine; a memory translation engine is based on a memory of well translated source and target sentences, which are reused end enriched by the human translator who is responsible for his translation memory. When you manually make changements of automatic translation, DocTranslate generates the translation memory which is reused for all of next translations for the couple of source + target languages. It also allows you to build on an existing (shared or not) translation memory that you may specify in the Improvement tab.
