- Doctranslate (version standard) costs $34,5 per year per user.

- Prices decrease with volume.

When i change my computer or reinstall my OS i can’t reactivate DocTranslate, why ?
Yes, the license works on one computer for one OS, so your license is burned after first activation. If you want to use your DocTranslate license on a new OS or new computer, just send me by mail your license number and I will reactivate it.
Do I need Microsoft Office to run DocTranslate ?
No, since V2 you can also translate OpenOffice documents.
What are the consequences of Google and Microsoft announcements about their translation API ?
In summary, access to APIs is no longer free of charge (except for Microsoft API for quite low usage (<2M characters/month)). The current version of Doctranslate will probably not be functional in a few weeks. The new version, compatible with the new Google and Microsoft API will be available in early December 2011.
- Google announced August 24, 2011 that the API V2 is well maintained and is for fee from 1 December 2011. For the record, Google announced in May 2011 that its API V1 would be dropped at the same time.
- Today, for reasons of convenience for the user (no need for any google Id) and performance, the latest version of Doctranslate does not use the API V1 or V2 of Google Translate. It acts as a web browser for the translation requests.
- Without certainty, this way of operating may no longer operate (for contract for technical reasons) and only the API V2 could be used.
- Doctranslate users (using the Google translate service) will then have to create a Google Account and register as users of the Google API providing a means of payment and then activating the translate API. Thus, they can set their API Key in Doctranslate allowing Google to charge them.
- Microsoft announced September 14, 2011 that the use of the Microsoft translate API V2 will be for fee beyond 2M characters per month (good news, it’s free for little volumes and during 4 month for any subscription), see FAQ here.
- Doctranslate users (using the Microsoft translation service) will have to register Windows Azure Marketplace to create their own APPID in order to set it into DocTranslate.
- Doctranslate currently uses the free API v1 which will be disconnected by Microsoft November 4, 2011.
Why does Doctranslate sometimes cut words in pieces with Office word?
because MS Word remembers all changes made and therefore retains traces in its internal structure. It is very difficult to translate and keep intact the presentation. In such cases it is necessary to copy and paste the relevant areas in a block.
Why does Doctranslate work with ppt files but not with word files?
Try to parameter an other temporary directory in the “Advanced” Tab.
Why does my license number fail ?
